Ranger supplied a modular lattice spreader beam designed for heavy-duty lifting with maximum flexibility and efficiency. The beam spans a total length of 44 metres, composed of 7 struts ranging from 3m to 8m, plus end pieces. This modular design allows the client to perform a series of precise lifts, adjusting the beam length from 11m to 32m in 1m increments to suit the varying project needs.
With an impressive Working Load Limit (WLL) of 125 tonnes at 44m, 210 tonnes at 36m, and 240 tonnes for 3m to 33m lengths, the beam supports demanding lifting operations. The end units accommodate 150-tonne upper shackles and 120-tonne lower shackles, ensuring compatibility with heavy-duty rigging.
Engineered for efficiency, the lattice sections are sized to fit side by side on a semi-trailer, reducing transport costs and simplifying logistics. Each section features small feet for ground clearance during storage and is joined with M24 fasteners, enabling fast assembly and disassembly while minimising manual handling risks.
This project demonstrates Ranger’s ability to provide tailored lifting solutions, prioritising safety, practicality, and operational success.
