Corrosion, cracks, damage, distortion, indentations, elongation, wear, deposits that cannot be removed, security of attachment points and sub-structures, fasteners, welds, link articulation, gauge length, adequacy of lubrication, eye symmetry, broken wires, dead end termination, etc.
Check Markings
Presence, accuracy and condition of markings.
Check Wire Rope
Kinks, exposure of inner core, flattening, corrosion, broken wires/strands, adequacy of lubrication, etc.
Check End Termination
Corrosion, cracks, damage, distortion, opening of the throat, wear, deposits that cannot be removed, security of attachment points and sub-structures, fasteners, welds, full or partial seizure of rotating components, safety latches, etc.
