Module 3 teaches you how to identify different types of wire rope , calculate the load for various load angles, understand the limitations, correctly select the right sling for your application, consider safe working practices and conduct visual inspections.
Shackles
This module teaches you how to identify different types of shackles, select the correct shackle, safely use shackles and identify the relevant discard criteria. Side loading and point loading are also covered.
Synthetic Slings
We cover the different types of synthetic slings, including HMPE, and analyse their advantages and disadvantages, selecting the best sling for your operation, and when protective sleeves should be used.
